Erika Ensign

You're all my human best friend.

And Erika Ensign also joins us.

Hello.

Hello.

Who, who knows? Who's to say?

[laughs] Oh, God.

Who's to say? And Erika Ensign, thank you.

I'm off to go play bingo.

So I really can't wait for you to hear this story.

And now, Children of Calliope by Seanan McGuire, as read by Erika Ensign.

By the early days of the 21st century, advocates of book bans had managed, however accidentally, to elevate their hobby to the level of near religion and with it created a class of concepts that could only be called into existence if a person read them in a book.

by controlling what children could read outside the home.

As always, we couldn't do it without all of you, without your amazing and phenomenal support, whether you're a Patreon patron, a subscriber at Weightless Books, a backer of an Uncanny Magazine Kickstarter, or you just run around spreading the good word about everything you love about the podcast and magazine.

But of course, I especially, especially it could not be done without the greatest staff in the universe.

That includes managing nonfiction editor Monty Lin, poetry editor Betsy Aoki, podcast producers Erika Ensign and Stephen Schepanski, podcast reader Matt Peters, interviewer Carolyn M. Yochum, assistant editor Chania Chen, and assistant publisher Christy Thomas, along with all of these submissions editors who do so much work, especially right now as we are working through a very large pile of submissions.

So until the next time, space unicorns.

This is our second annual Uncanny Magazine Kickstarter Backer Special Edition, where we celebrate some of the folks who supported Year 12 of Uncanny Magazine.

I'm your scorekeeper, Stephen Chepanski, and now your host of this and every episode of Random Pursuit, it's Erika Ensign.

Thank you, Stephen.

Hurrah for more Uncanny Magazine backers.

Not Levitia.

Last and least in the initiative order, it's Erika Ensign.

Hello.

Yes, Erika Ensign Sheher playing Levitia du Isigri Sheher, who is a human ranger with one level of rogue.

One level of rogue, nice.

So let me paint the scene here.
