**Electrolytes, Hard Bodied Gilts and Goats are Picky Eaters** In this episode of To The Front, Tony Morris and Thomas Gross answer listener questions about using electrolytes at jackpot shows…
Like, we're gonna go show them, we might as well get them looking their best and take them out.
The other thing, besides just having them look their best, is every pig's gonna react a little different to electrolytes and which electrolyte y- you use.
And so, until I have a real comfortable idea of this pig's gonna need this type of a program, we use them and so much kind of for experimentation so we're ready for our target shows down the road.
If you want to take them, you want them to look their best, if you're still trying to get the information about which pig needs what from an electrolyte standpoint and what kind of regimen, I recommend that you give it a go.
No matter the species that you're gonna jackpot, one of the things that you will notice, uh, or one of the unique things about jackpots, you're in and out normally in one day.
And so if we have that animal and we start our hydration regimen, uh, at home before we get going, and they're well-hydrated, and there's electrolytes in there that help those muscles in the skin and fat cells retain some water, they're gonna come off the trailer looking a little bit better too.
We've got less of a distance to travel per se to go from what they look like off the trailer to what they're gonna look like hitting the show ring.
