Teaching kids Mahjong! Lets go Back to School, Tile Talk EP13

All right.

Yes.

So about the championship really quickly.

Okay.

Um, so I just think this is so cool.

The table was, our championship table was made of our four, um, top players, top scorers of the season, and I would say two of them have probably been playing longer, like, I, I think several years-

Yeah, years and years

... perhaps.

Yeah.

Um, and just sort of came in already pretty experienced.

And then another player, she's been playing for a couple of years, um, and who I taught, and it's been so cool to watch her grow.

And it's been really special because she doesn't have, um, family and friends that she plays v- very often with outside of the league, so league has really been her regular place-

Right

... to play.

It's where you play.

And of course she's met, she's met people at league, and now she plays with them outside of it.

But, um, for the most part, I think that's where she kind of got her regular spot to, to practice and learn.

Um, and then our fourth player, Trisha, is actually somebody I taught right before-

[laughs]

... summer began, right before summer league began.

I love it.

So it was like May-

Wow

... something, and we kicked off in June.

Um, I, not E- I mean, I think it was like the week or two weeks before.
