Hello and a very warm welcome to Thoughts on the Blues on the day of the first local derby of the season.

Birmingham City versus Wolverhampton Wanderers, a game that hasn't been played for the best part of a decade.

I hate local derbies.

They feel fairly joyless for the most part up until sometimes they're not.

Generally, I'm conditioned as a blues fan to expect local derbies to go wrong.

This one, I've left it an hour or two after coming home to record this because I've struggled so much to stop laughing.

I will be coming to this point later on.

But by God, did I laugh.
