and if you're sober if you're sober as well fucking fair fucks you because i that is an unbelievable unbelievable combo um last week's episode let's talk about the wonderful hannah because that got an amazing reaction and I knew it would she's sort of been a one of those people that people have been saying I'll get on get on get on get on for ages and we just haven't been able to align our diaries but uh yeah I mean the reaction to it was amazing

wasn't it mate it was such a good episode and you know I think you obviously went on her podcast a while ago her platform's blown up and it seems to help a lot of people which is amazing and I think it just really shows how much of a a gateway alcohol is for a lot of people into other substances you know I feel like if people know they're going out drinking that kind of like link between that cocaine and then everything else that follows and I feel very fortunate that it didn't grab me in the same way that perhaps it grabs you and Hannah and a lot of people you know I know a lot of people in our um who reach out to us on our instagram and patreon and various other places have very similar experiences with it and it's just it's really interesting isn't it because that whole link doesn't start without alcohol right it's so difficult because i remember when i was younger my not my parents my parents were very very liberal so not them but do you remember being at school and everyone being like cannabis the gateway drug if you smoke cannabis then you'll be a crack addict yeah like

and it was like some really bad animation it was like i once was in a room when someone smoked cannabis and now i take drugs like now i take heroin and murder babies

exactly and it's that was always kind of like the the link wasn't it but really alcohol is the is the link really to kind of i

may without like without like fucking painting it with a brush i would argue that like 95 of the dumb shit i've done in my life whether that's like accelerate into drug taking or like do something stupid or like send someone a silly message or like do any behavior i wasn't proud of was because I was drunk.

Unless you're like a genuine piece of shit or you're a criminal or like, you know, you're in dire straits financially so you do something silly.

Most of my bad decisions in my life, pretty much all of them, have been because I've been drunk.

Like, I removed alcohol from my life to... to stop taking drugs and that worked perfectly.

But then I think about, you know, it kind of comes back to that conversation you and I had many moons ago about like, is this better? Is this better? Is this better? Is this better? Because actually when you remove that thing, that's just like influencing your mind in a negative way, of course, everything else is going to improve.

And then if you still like are a dick to your missus or like, you know, you're messaging someone you shouldn't be when you're sober, like that's fully on you.

But I can safely say that like being sober has just removed that Any pretty much any negative behavior.

And obviously, there's still things that you're like, oh, I shouldn't have reacted emotionally that way.

And maybe I replied a bit, you know, a bit a bit sharp, but in terms of like genuine life ruiners.
