mate it was such a great chat and it was so nice to have mr david gibbs back on the show uh the show who am i um the pod welcome to the show welcome to the show um mate it was just great catch up and he always poses some really interesting questions which gets me thinking you thinking and our listeners thinking and that's the point of having someone who is a qualified psychotherapist come on and

And I really, I think a lot of people resonated with like the hedonism aspect of it.

And, you know, there's this like, there's always this thing about sobriety and boredom and... you know but it doesn't mean that you can't still be impulsive and you still can't you know have that fuck it button and go and do shit and i really love the the combo and um he messaged me after as well being like man like it was quite inspirational hearing about you you know doing the trips with your kid and he's like i need to do that shit it's making he's like please let me know when you're doing other stuff like that because it's like really good food for thought so yeah man i'm I loved it.

Well, it's funny as well, isn't it? Because he caused such a stir in our Patreon because everyone was like, I never knew he looked like that.

And I forget that because his episode was like way back in season one, like most people might not have gone back onto YouTube or like gone on our socials from sort of three years ago and seen what he looked like.

But, mate, it was great, and actually it really got me thinking, and this is to not, like, poo-poo the pod or poo-poo how we do anything.

But, like, shit on anything structurally that we do, but actually, like... you know there's beauty in the conversations that we have with other people and i love hearing about people's journeys and i know our listeners get so much from hearing about someone's timeline but i also think you know you and i talk you know tackle some big topics and we have some really great conversations just you and i but adding that third person into a topic conversation that wasn't an interview per se and it was just an open forum i felt and i know producer connor actually flagged this when we when he kind of sent us our feedback It was like, I think it allowed all of us just to have a really interesting conversation.

And I'm not like, you know, saying like, oh, that's the best podcast I've ever heard.

But I just felt like for us as a forum, it's something I really want to explore.

But I think having someone in that's an expert or something or is going to challenge us about something or just ask us some questions about it.

sobriety or topics around it rather than just going like oh well here's when i started drinking and here's where it went there's a huge place for that and that will always be the very core of what this podcast is about because the journeys are what are inspiring but i really really lit something within me i came out of it and i was like fucking hell like i really felt the fire after that conversation it felt amazing and and and going back to the topic of hedonism Yeah, it really kind of, I don't know, it made me want to press that fuck it button a bit more and like go for a dance or like I'm going up to a festival in Nottingham next weekend with a client and like historically I'd just like come straight back.

But then, you know, they were like, oh, we might, you know, do a DJ set afterwards.

We might go out to a bar, like do you want to come? And I was like, do you know what? what like I might get a hotel and I might stay up and I might come out for a bit and you know what I might go straight to bed afterwards who knows I might I might decide to drive home but actually just had doing that thing of just like you know what I'm not gonna not gonna put myself in that box of like well I have to be at the gym at six in the morning so then I failed myself it's like there's so much beautiful life to live and you know not to make this sad at all but obviously you and I there was you know someone incredible in the music industry passed away really suddenly this week didn't they really unexpectedly at the age of 58 and someone that you know you and I have both worked with for Many Moons and someone that you know gave me one of my first record deals and was very pivotal in Death of Anna's journey And you just think like, man, like that's not that far away for you and I, that age of something were to happen.
