Aligned action isn't about waiting around for a sign. It's about learning to recognize what feels right and having the courage to act on it. In this episode, we break down what aligned action actually…
So I first want to just start with like what aligned action actually is.
And it's that little voice in your head that says, hey, I think you should go to this coffee shop today or hey, I think you should try this tomorrow, or oh, I think you should take this different path today.
And I've seen this play out so many times in my life, and it's those things where you might hear those little pings and you might just hear the little thoughts, but you might ignore it, right? But then they seem to get louder and louder and louder until you inevitably can't ignore this thing because you have to do this in order to get you where you're trying to go.
Most of us were in a certain position, wherever you are in life, you identify a goal that you have, a person you want to be, and you probably hear everyone say, like, start meditating, start visualizing these different things.
And it's within the meditation, it's within the visualization that you start to get more connected to this little voice.
And this little voice is your highest self guiding you where it is you need to go.
It's your future self telling you, hey, you should do this, you should do that, trying to get you onto the path in order for you to actually become them and step into them.
And so when you start to connect more with your intuition, which is done through meditation, through sitting in silence, letting yourself just think, letting yourself just be bored.
Yes, you have to be bored in order to actually hear these thoughts and come up with different ideas and different things that you think you should do.
But that's where you get this feeling of just going, I feel like I should go to this coffee shop.
And to the current version of you, you're probably like, that's so far out of the way.
Like, why would I go to this coffee shop where the coffee shop I normally go to is close to my work and we always do this routine and that's what we do.
But it's within going to this other coffee shop that you actually start to change up that routine that then puts you in on the path to potentially meet new people.
And you're not always going to know exactly where.
what that means, right? This whole idea of like aligned action, trusting your intuition isn't to overthink what that looks like, right? Because I think a lot of times we can go, oh, I have a feeling I'm supposed to go to this coffee shop.
So that must mean that my future husband's there.
That must mean that my future business partner is there.
It's like, we don't actually know that, right? Because a lot of the times we're being set up for things that might not play out for months, years in advance, right? But every time we look back, we're like, oh, that made so much sense.
Because you going to that coffee shop, while it might not make sense to this version of you, it's probably going to make sense to the future version of you, but you don't need to try and make sense of it right now.
So it's being able to trust it to go, okay, I feel like I should go to this coffee shop.
I'm just going to go.
I'm going to have no expectations.
I'm just going to go and see where it leads, right? And so even if it takes longer, even if it's out of the way, that's actually a good thing because it's now breaking you out of your current habits because you're trying to break out of this lifestyle, right? So if you continuously do the same behaviors, the same habits every single day, all that's going to do is keep you on this same path.
Whereas now this is starting to open you up to a completely different path.
And so you might go to this coffee shop again without expectations and nothing might happen, right? It might just be like, okay, well, I got a latte.
