The Pittsburgh Steelers reported to training camp on Tuesday. Jenna Harner and Mike DeFabo discuss what will be different, from practice times to their approach to tackling. Plus, Joey Porter Jr. and…

We talked with, of course, head coach Mike McCarthy, and we talked to general manager Omar Khan.

We spoke with him at about 10 a.m. on Tuesday morning, and he told us in the time that he spoke with us that Jalen Ramsey, who suffered a knee injury during the team's mini camp, it did not require surgery, but Jalen Ramsey will begin camp on the physically unable to perform.

And then mid-afternoon, the Steelers announced Joey Porter Jr. will also be going on the Pup List as well.

The timing of this, I think, has thrown a little bit of people and kind of leads to some questions here just with the way that announcement came out.
Everyone knew coming into training camp that Joey Porter Jr. is seeking a new contract.
He chose to hold in during OTAs and minicamp, participated only very sparingly during those periods.
And so on Wednesday, everyone was expecting to go out there and say, how much is Joey Porter Jr. going to be participating? Well, now here there's this injury.
And so, you know, one potential, as we speculate, one potential scenario could have been that he participated during the team's workout this morning and afterwards may have felt some adverse effects, got checked out by a physician and they determined he would need to start on PUP.
That's probably the story that they'll tell us, but it obviously does lead to some questions.

Yeah, and it'll be interesting to see if we do get a chance to talk with him over the next handful of days.

Usually players who are on the PUP list who are injured, as reporters, we don't talk with them until they're cleared or close to being cleared to be able to play.
