Join the podcast crew as we head back to small town America, where Halloween night, a mysterious ghost, and a decades-old murder turn one kid’s childhood into one hell of a nightmare. We talk ghosts…
What are we covering, Brian? We're traveling back to April 22nd, 1988, and we're covering The Lady in White, or Lady in White.
I guess it is just Lady in White,
right? Yep, just Lady in White.
And let me give some of the rundown here.
It's rated PG-13, and it could have been something else, but we'll go into that a little bit more maybe later.
Runtime of the regular version is an hour and 53 seconds.
but vinegar syndrome put out a director's cut this past year and that's two hours and six minutes and i'll talk about one scene in that actually made more sense but there was a budget of 4.7 million it grossed worldwide only 1.7 million so kind of a failure and probably why we don't really hear about this movie too often the director was frank la loja he played some classics called like the wizard of speed and time and fear no evil yeah i have no freaking clue i've never heard of either one of those no also starred lucas haas as frankie scardelletti he was in witness with harrison ford he was a little boy in that and then mars attacks he had a role in that as a teenager alex rocco as al scarletti he was in the godfather he's kind of recognizable because i think he's always that little side character in some of those movies jason presson as gino scarletti he was the brother he had catherine hellman as amanda now catherine played in a tv show called who's the boss and played the mom mona
And then she played in another TV series before that though called Soap.
Have you ever heard of that one?
Yeah.
It was kind of a soap opera, drama, comedy show.
Yeah, it was a lot of fun.
And then there was a little fucker called Jason Rustin who played Donald.
Now, this little fucker was in a lot of movies where he played a little fucker.
It was Pet Sematary 2, but he did play a redeeming character in the movie Big with Tom Hanks.
Then it wasn't Ian Honey, I Shrunk the Kids and Overboard.
Yeah.
For some reason, I thought he was the brother from Life Goes On and the other guy was the dad from, oh, what's that show? Not Life Goes On.
I think I told you, I was like, I don't feel like I'm watching a Wonder Years episode.
Yeah, well, you got a synopsis.
Oh, let's see.
Set in a small town in New York in 1962, young Frankie Scarletti is locked inside his school's cloakroom, coat room, whatever the hell you call it, on Halloween night.
While trapped in the darkness, he witnesses the ghostly recreation of a little girl's murder.
After a surviving attack by the murderer, yeah, the murderer comes in there and is like, I lost something.
