And where this topic came from, let's start there, was from inside of the Wise Wild Woman Mentorship Program, my year-long immersive program.
program for women who are ready to connect back in with their bodies, with the cycles they're in, with the cycles of the earth, and to really reclaim that kinship with self and with the other than human world and with other women on the path as well.
And so this is a space that the women inside have consistently said time and again feels so safe and so welcoming like they can show up as their whole selves in a way that doesn't exist in a lot of other spaces.
And yet, at the same time, it has happened more than once where someone has gone silent for a while.
And when they come back, when they come into that WhatsApp space that we have as part of the offering, as part of the program, they say something along the lines of, I didn't want to overshare.
I didn't want to burden.
I feel like I don't belong anywhere, even here.
And it's so...
So relatable.
I think the last time this happened, which is what spurred my hopping onto Instagram and sharing those videos, one of the women was saying, you know, even though this space feels so safe and everybody's been so lovely and welcoming and I feel connected here, I don't actually feel like I belong.
I don't belong here.
I don't belong anywhere.
And it hurt my heart because my heart recognized that feeling that's that sense or that idea that no one really understands me no one will ever really understand me no one will ever really truly just love me for me that I am an outcast that I am a black sheep and will always be and I'll never truly belong anywhere And that resonance with this experience of the woman inside, the Wise Wild Woman mentorship, and my own experience in life that kind of comes up, it feels cyclical, but I've been really dancing with it in these last couple of months.
Made me realize that it's not just her and me.
It's so many of us.
And so why is this? Why do so many women walk through the world feeling like they maybe they fit in but they don't truly belong and so let's start by talking about you know what what fitting in is versus what belonging is because we learn from a very young age that how to fit in, right? And to fit in, we play nice.
