#48 Can One Hug Change Everything?

yeah so the really big difference in that was when I met my wife so I was working at Theatre Royal Plymouth I was the dancing teacher so I was a professional dancer training teaching sharing one of the things I didn't realize during my journey when I was teaching dance and I was doing everything I was mentoring a lot of young people teaching them how to be good teach them how to behave teach them how to learn how to grow and how to give back to society and community I didn't know that I was mentoring.

I just thought, I'm just teaching dance.

So to me, this felt so natural and so easy.

This is just what I was doing.

And being this kind of a big brother role to a lot of these youngsters, somebody who guides you and teach you, but be kind and be good to you.

Somebody who showed you love and respect and those kind of values.

I didn't know I was building something special that's going to become something incredible in the future.

I was just doing what felt right.

And then there was a big, big moment when I worked for Theatre Royal.

And on my last day of the program I was working there, I met my wife, Jo.

So on my first day, we had a conversation and everything.

And then we were just friends working together.

She was the acting teacher.

I was the dancing teacher.

And then one day she said, would you like a lift? I said, yeah, brilliant.

Give me a lift.

So she picked me up and I'm in the car and I'm complaining because I had an argument with my mom.

So I am upset.

I'm annoyed.

So I'm sat in a car going, talking, talking, talking, talking.

Then I caught myself going, Toby, why are you telling this girl everything? You don't tell no one nothing.

You keep everything to yourself.

Why are you sat here telling her everything? And then I went, I don't know.

I felt so comfortable and I felt so listened to and I felt so respected at that moment in time.

So I did.
