You've described yourself as someone in the past that has compulsively done too much, which is something that I know that a lot of us ADHDers deal with and relate to on a deeply biological level.
Why do our brain, why are our brains so wired to take on more than we can handle? And how did your diagnosis change your perspective on that habit?
So, you know, there's small achievements like getting a like on a post and then there's there's bigger ones which might be like hitting some financial goal or something.
to live in a world where they don't have constant achievements or dopamine flood.
But I will say it's really hard because, you know, just sitting there just with no goal and just like sitting there and playing or just hanging out, like I want to get up and go for a run or, you know, like, reach a goal.
And so, and you know, I think that's the challenge, right? With, with, with the ADHD brain brain is that it craves, uh, craves creating or consuming or you know, stimulation and, and the world is a slow place, right? Like it's like, think of the analogy of a plant, like you don't water the plant and then it blossoms, like you have to wait for things.
And so I think that's the struggle with the ADHD brain in this world is that we are magically equipped to like strive for amazing things.
