The Universally Speaking Podcast
Sep 17, 2026 · 1 hr 39 min · 13 segments
Sam's back from his annual trip and shares the good, the bad and the ugly from his time at Universal. Hope you enjoy!
Just for context as well, we won't be speaking Halloween Horror Nights in this one, as we'll probably end up doing a separate episode on that to get all of Sam's thoughts on the event this year, on the one-night experience there.
So generally speaking then, a bit of a tough one, Sam, but how was your trip overall, broadly speaking, this year? I imagine this one will have been your best yet, given that your kids are getting older and able to do more.
Again, we'll get onto that, but just generally.
Yeah, generally it was a very, very strong trip.
You know, it had lots of things that were going to be brand new for us as a family, lots of things that were going to be brand new for Joey and lots of things that were going to be new for Elle as well.
So like combining all of those together, as well as kind of hitting some of the classics, some of the bits that, you know, we love to see year after year.
It was, yeah, a really, really strong trip.
I mean.
We started the episode of it already, but any year where you can go back to Universal Orlando, regardless, it is going to be an amazing year.
And yeah,
the trip as a whole was really, really strong.
So yeah,
every single one of us had a great time.
Oh, that's pulling back the curtain.
And the person who's spoken about the holiday literally most, including about an hour ago, is Elle.
She always wants to talk about the holiday.
You know, every night at bedtime, it's talking about the holiday.
She wakes up in the middle of the night and she wants to talk about holiday before she goes back to sleep.
So, yeah, clearly that was a great trip for her.
And yeah, we all enjoyed.
And there's no way she's talking about it more than you.
I just don't believe it.
She's not thinking about it more than me.
