Keep It Simple: A LoRaWAN Playground Bell and Textile Leak Sensor — ScrollScrollScroll & Elementric

Talking about Lego pieces, Frederik, would you like to highlight what you have in front of you?

Yeah, so we came up with this idea doing a business case and understanding that on the market there are only, until today, flood detectors, plastic products with an antenna sticking out of it.

So we designed a product in textile.

This is cotton and polyester.

It's designed to fit under and behind kitchen appliances and covering the whole risk area.

So instead of producing a product that reacts on water, we designed a product that will discover leaks inside the kitchen in three different specific areas.

It's inside the sink cabinet, behind the dishwasher, and under the fridge.

And fridge is the kitchen appliances that cause most water damage.

No one believes it because it doesn't have water connected to it, but it's creating so much condensation.

And eventually it goes out under it and people won't discover it until the floor is destroyed.

So we decided to produce a product as a mat.

That's why it's called droppmattan in Swedish or drift spy because it's spies on trips in English.

Nice.

So you put it just in your kitchen or whatever the place is, and if it drips on

there? It's respond to our SaaS solution or any other SaaS solution chosen by the customer.

So it's using LoRa, so it can be integrated in a building management system.

So one user will see status and get the alarm in real time from every kitchen and every building, wherever they are, as long as it's connected to LoRa.

You've been talking about the wildness and installing your devices there.

So what's the wildness?

So the wildness is we got a customer, it's an insurance company.

So they are, since started with a project started 2023, we will now in the end of this year, finalizing this project or program with 5,000 installed drip spice leak sensors.

And during the summer, they installed in a housing association with 200 apartments with the family residence.

In a ski resort in the wildness surrounded only by forests, Elks, wolves, bears, you know No cities, nothing, but they got LoRavan in the end of May So the first sensor they installed was our drip spine in 200 apartments and these apartments are totally empty for the low season during low season six months so They encountered with a water leak the day after they were finalizing the installation under dishwasher.

If without our product, they would have discovered this water damage like in November, December when they starting up everything, too late.

So basically that discover paid for that whole
