so we have the empress an empress is a female ruler of an empire um so if we go here i'll get the one properly

It's got yellow skies and trees behind it.

And it's a woman sitting on like a throne of cushions or like a soft throne.

She's in a big white gown with some fruit on it, some flowers on her head, holding a staff and lots of like long sort of corner grass or wherever you want it to be there.

So the Empress represents abundance, femininity, nature, and creativity.

As the third card of the Major Arcana, she embodies the ultimate mother figure and a powerful force of light and growth.

So that's the sort of traditional understanding of it.

There's different meanings about what you want.

Like the general meaning is, again, abundance, creation, and nurturing.

I think that nurturing one is sort of a key one that you probably find in a lot of the books.

And the little booklets that you get with your tarot deck, the sort of the nurturing figure, which contrasts to the emperor.

Again, we'll talk about the emperor next week.

But like they're paired in that way because they're married to each other.

So, yeah, that's the traditional one.

What would your sort of interpretation of the empress be?

So to kind of start off on the right foot, the way that we've been doing this is we are really almost overanalyzing the imagery when we look at it.

And part of the reason that I like doing that is because it makes it stick in your mind.

So for those of you who are following along with notebooks and you're taking notes, and I've had two or three people message me and say that they actually are doing that, which is really cool.

I know that Darren said that he's got a special notebook just to... just to take notes on tarot so that you can learn but if we if we look at the actual imagery of this card you can see that it's still one of the early numbers it's still got that yellow sky it's you know it's the dawn it's like the start of the day the start of the life cycle and it very much follows on from the previous things and When you look at these tarot cards, almost like interlinked and chained, we can see those things from the past cards.

We can see, you know, her dress has got those, the pomegranates, the fruit on that were in past cards, obviously the sky.

And she follows on from the high priestess who, you know, I mentioned last week about the high priestess partly representing the divine feminine or femininity.

The Empress probably more so represents it even because of that nurturing side, that growth, that abundance side.
