Talk of the Town October 2, 2026

Right now, clouds and 70 degrees in Morgantown.

And looking at the weather forecast, a 100% chance of precipitation.

And that could have a negative effect on our football Friday.

Tell you what, it's going to be an important evening for football here for all three local teams.

Morgantown, they continue their title defense at the Quad A level.

They've got to travel up to Wheeling Park and take on the Patriots tonight.

That will be our live game on the air.

We'll do that at 7 o'clock.

Then over on the stream, you've got some choices to make.

We'll either have the University Hawks against Linsley on Baker's Ridge, or we've got Clay Battelle on the road to play Meadow Bridge.

Now, University, they've definitely shown up this week.

This season, I think a lot stronger than what most people had hoped.

So that's a very important game up on Baker's Ridge tonight.

Then Clay Battelle, you know, they're still kind of defining themselves after one of the best seasons in program history last year.

They've got Meadow Bridge.

All the games kick off at 7 o'clock tonight.

And once again, Morgantown, Wheeling Park.

That will be the live game on the air.

Then over on the stream, we've got University against Linsley on Baker's Ridge and then Clay Patel on the road to take on Meadow Bridge.

All the games kick off at 7 o'clock and then after the games kick back because Metro News Game Night is going to bring you all the recaps and scores and highlights from around the state.
