VIDEO: THE LOT OF HARMONY IN ASTROLOGY WITH ALEX RUIZ

So what are lots?

Lots, well, uh, a lot of people might think, or if you not know, if you do not know a lot of about astrology, lots are not planets, uh, fixed stars or, um...

Th- they are, uh, mathematical points basically that are derived from planets, right? So, uh, let's say for example, I think the one lot that we all know is the Lot of Fortune.

So you would take, uh, the Sun and the Moon, so you'd take the distance between them in your chart, and then once you have like all the degrees that are, you know, separating, uh, those two planets, then, uh, you project it from the ascendant usually.

But there are lots that, uh, do not use the ascendant as, uh, in the formula.

They use sometimes like other house cusps or planets.

But yeah, they're basically like mathematical points and they're used to confirm topics, and they, they can also be used as timing techniques which are so, so helpful.

And, uh, whenever you have like doubts about a topic, let's say love, uh, you study for example the seventh house and its ruler in Venus, because Venus is the, the natural ruler of love.

Um, and you say, "Okay, those are in good condition," or maybe they're struggling a little bit but, uh, I don't know, I still feel like there's a bigger picture to my love life.

And so you would study the Lot of Union, for example.

Uh, and that will tell you like the last say of that topic.

And so you would study, you know, what the, what the lot is doing, what the ruler is doing, and that'll give you like a bigger picture and a lot of nuances when it comes to like topics.

So yeah, th- they are very, very useful and they are very helpful, uh, to uncover hidden parts about our, our chart and our fate.

So yeah, they are so, so helpful.

So lots are based on or they're calculated points, as you said-

Mm-hmm

... and it's about the relationship between different points and planets in your chart.

They combine different-

Yeah

... energies together and they end up being this like sort of outcome point.

And-

Mm-hmm

... they're very strongly associated with fate, like you said.

And so-

Mm-hmm
