Episode 409 1/2 - Taking Back Our Attention This Summer

But we also celebrate, and we talked about this in the past, but if you're a new listener, uh, we, we celebrate in our family, uh, Kids Day, which, you know, D- Sam, I think it was.

Was it Sam, Dad, that you always talk about?

I think so.

I mean, that's kinda the lore-

... now.

Always said, "Well, how come there's a Father's Day and a Mother's Day, but no Kids Day?" And then Dad, of course, you know, always says, "Well, every day is a kid's day." But he thought it was a fun idea, and so growing up we'd do, usually it was the first day of summer, we'd do something fun, uh, summery.

Uh, you know, it a- also happens to coincide with a lot of times Disney releasing a movie, so we might go watch, like, Toy Story 5 this weekend.

But, so we celebrate Kids Day, which happens to be on Father's Day this year, uh, which is kinda fitting, but we're gonna be m- celebrating it on Friday.

I'm gonna take the day off and we're gonna do some fun things and stuff like that.

Wow.

So, well, I've got some-

Do you know, well, like, what are you gonna do?

... vacation days to use, so we need to use them.

Um, uh, we're gonna just go...

We were gonna maybe do a waterpark, but it doesn't look super warm, so I think we're gonna go and go bowling, um, k- sleep outside, um, maybe go to the lake, uh, in the evening.

We'll see.

And then there was something else, but I don't remember what it was.

But, uh, one other thing I think in the aftern- Oh, and yeah, I don't remember.

How are you hanging out on Friday and not Saturday?

'Cause Saturday we have llama in the morning, and then we also, uh-
