So to kick us off, for someone that's listening that's never come across your work before, how would you describe what it is that you do?

So I would say simply put, although it's not simple, right, but simply put, I make sure that in each and every session I do or in my program that I'm centering the body's communication and the body in the room just as much as I would any story that someone's telling me or any part of their self that they're describing to me.

So I really help my clients and anyone I work with to bring that communication alive so that they are connected at all times to what's happening inside, because that's a central part of our being and who we are.

And getting to know, you know, what we have listened to and what we have ignored for years is the road back to empowerment is really what I always say.

Getting to know that and not living cut off like most people are experiencing and feeling like they're living is really the road back to feeling so much more connected and empowered.

Yeah, so it was kind of a long journey because being in the field for so long, I was trained in your very clinical training programs, you know, many years ago.

But I was very lucky in my clinical training to also be schooled through the humanistic, you know, theories.

And really, that humanistic approach in that relational field was... very much what called me all the time.

And then out of grad school, I went into advanced training, a postgraduate training program in gestalt therapy, which I often say is the first parts therapy, really, if we look at it years ago.

And That was very somatically based, even though they didn't call it that.

And that was really my first introduction to very curious about bringing the body into the room, although there wasn't a name for it at that point.

And I will say that my own path back through my connection and my healing with my body, by that point, after I had finished my graduate training, I had been in recovery, personal eating disorder recovery for many years myself.
