Beyond the Court: What Basketball Teaches Us About Safety Leadership

I was a better basketball player for sure, but there was something about being under the leadership of a coach that caused me to grow holistically.

And that same approach I take into corporate America now, is that you have the opportunity to not just make them a better employee, you can literally better their life.

Because you know what makes for a better employee? When they're a better husband, when they're a better wife, when they're a better brother, when they're a better son, when they're a better daughter.

If they're better out there, they're going to be better for you, and that is what you call a mutually beneficial ecosystem.
