Cardinals-Broncos Week 7 reactions, analysis

Hello, Arizona Cardinals fans, and welcome to the latest edition of the Rise Up Sierra podcast of the Star of Cardinals Talk on the web.

I'm your host, Jess Root from CardsWire.com, USA Today's NFL Wire site that covers, of course, Arizona Cardinals.

Joining me for episode 832 and our show where we review the Cardinals' most recent game against the Denver Broncos is my co-host, Seth Cox from RevengeoftheBirds.com, SB Nation's Arizona Cardinals site, and we are... covering, breaking down, reacting to the Cardinals' most recent loss after their loss to the, after beating the LA Rams, that is, 18-16 in Week 6.

There was a chance, like, okay, let's look at this team, and then they go and did it again.

They're back to what we thought they were.

Losing to the Denver Broncos 30-16 at State Farm Stadium in Larry Fitzgerald's big game.

So, I guess that comes down to, was this what we expected out of this game?

No, I mean, expectation is a tough word.

I think more of it is you look at it and we were hoping that it wasn't going to happen this way, right? Like...

that this group wouldn't have the issues that they had and that they would be able to carry over what was an excellent defensive performance into a new one.

And then instead, what did we end up getting? Oh, crap.

It's the same Cardinals with...

You know, a terrible defense, a terrible offense.

I mean, somebody mentioned it, and I know we'll get deeper into the weeds on it.

You know, the quarterback had 142 yards passing going into the fourth quarter.

Yeah, it was...

So he doubled up in garbage time again.

Like, it's just...

I think for you and I, man, that's been the biggest thing.

It's just...

It's tough, right?

Yeah, it's just been...

And...

We hoped that against a struggling Denver offense that they would be able to keep up what they had done against the Rams.

And they gave up big plays.
