[laughs] But anyway, w- um, our Real Talk with Rufus discussion is when did you last check on yourself how you...
How are you? And before you answer, don't give me the automatic answer, because some of us have said, "I'm doing good.
Somebody asks, s- and somebody says, "How are you?" And before they finish asking, "I'm good.
Hey, a- and, yeah, and, and, and I'ma use myself as a, you know, as a female.
"Hey, girl, how you doing?" "I'm good." Or, or we can ask our homeboy, "What's up, man? What's going on?" "Hey, man, I'm doing all right.
I'm the type of person, like, don't ask me how I'm doing because, and especially if I know you.
Because if I'm-- Look, what's going on, Red? How you doing? I, I'm doing all right.
You know, because sometimes, you know, you are good, but let's not turn everything into a problem.
You've rested, you're happy, things are moving, you're generally okay, wonderful.
Sometimes I'm good is simply the sociable, acceptable answer, and sometimes you generally don't know, genuinely don't know.
You've been working, you've been serving, you've been taking care of people, answering calls, handling business, meeting deadlines, running errands, paying bills, solving problems, and you've been so busy functioning that nobody includes to stop to ask, "How am I actually doing?" Including you asking, how am I actually doing? And here's a real talk question.
If nobody else needed anything from you for the next ten minutes, what would you notice about yourself? Would you notice you're exhausted? Would you notice that you're hungry, tense, irritated, lonely, over-stimulated, happy, at peace? Would you realize something has been bothering you? Would you realize, you know what? I'm actually doing better than I thought.
