To take advantage of the benefits of accountability and having an accountability practice, you need to have something that you're holding yourself to account for.

Namely, your goal or goals, the thing that you're, that you're working towards, the thing that you want.

So last episode, we did some goal pre-planning exercises to get you opening up and thinking about what you really want, what's important, what's working, what isn't, what you wanna move towards, and today we're going to put some concreteness to that.

I have a goal planning template that my members use, and I am going to make it available to you, too, for free.

In the membership, we do a big annual goal planning session, like a big bumper session, where we plan for the year ahead, and we've got one coming up for 2027, uh, 2027 in December.

And then throughout the year, we keep that document as a living, breathing document and record.

So when creating goals, in writing them down, we have to put them to pen and paper and see them in black and white.

How are we doing against our goals? Are they on track? Do we need to adjust them? I, of course, use SMART goals as a marketer who qualified with the Chartered Institute of Marketing back in the day, so old habits die hard.

SMART, which you are probably familiar with SMART goals if you've worked in corporate life.

If not, SMART as the CIM defines it is, the S is for specific, a clear, well-defined, and quantifiable result.
