Well, you know, I just follow in the footsteps of many Johns that have been before me and have, you know, have made that path possible and easier to follow and with the support and help of, you know, an outstanding staff at MAR and Beth, who's a very respected AE among the AE circle.

And, you know, it's...

You know, you can be in a group of people at an AR event and you don't know any of them.

And they'll say something about Beth.

Oh, yeah.

Been around a long time.

That's what that means.

Well, it's been good.

So it makes it easier for the rest of us.

Good.

I think sometimes we forget the effort and the amount of time that it takes to get into one of these positions.

It's like running for a political office in some aspects.

So it takes a good person to head it up to make those connections.

So we're lucky to have some really good folks from our state in good roles and they can get out and advocate for us also.

Very true.

All right.

So as we move along, we spent almost a week in D.C. recently at the Realtors legislative meetings.

We were able to sit together in the Region 5 section at the National Association Board meeting.

What are the major takeaways or highlights that you have from that meeting?

Well, a lot of different themes.

And for me, I studied political science in college.

I have a bachelor of science degree in political science.

So politics, I've always had a fascination and an interest in politics.
