Yeah, and there was actually about 25 great egrets that came in, and there was a bunch of cormorants, galanoo, coots.
Caleb, famously, what is it, four or five years ago now, they drained this whole lake because it's impoundment.
And I think that was the cause of a huge influx of muck that was then forced downstream.
And I think it affected basically every site along the Kalamazoo River all the way between here and the terminus of the river at Lake Michigan.
So during that summer, though, however tragic it was for the river ecology, there were shorebirds in Kalamazoo County like there haven't been probably ever.
