What do I choose - option A or B? How do I decide? What if it’s the wrong choice? What if I do nothing? Isn’t doing nothing still a choice (hint: yes it is)? If we take the opportunity to be present…

So Last week, last time it was a positive language, but in this episode, we're talking about positive choices.

I think this one, I was really excited as a topic until I realized I was going to, you know, kind of open it.

And then all of a sudden, sort of like the language one, it's like, I don't know what's a choice.

But I think when you say positive choices, it really, I think, helps me understand that no matter what is going on, I have some sort of choice in how I am going to react.

Even if I feel like I've got to make a choice between two things that are not great, I think that what I try to see is that I have a choice.

Neither may be my preference, but at least I have the opportunity to to maybe pick the less bad one, the one that's not as bad.

And then the other part of it is when I have to do make a choice, the other way to look at things as something as a positive choice is to say, I may not have what feels like a lot of choice in the actions that I'm going to take or what's happening, but I absolutely have choice as to how I feel about it and how I react to it.

And to me, that is really important and has been incredibly helpful for me in trying to stay, you know, to maintain a positive outlook or perspective.

And I came up with this topic specifically because I was in the midst of making bad choices.

And I will just say, if you're going to utter the phrase, which I'd only uttered once in my life, which was Wednesday night, which was, I'll have a double, the time to utter that phrase is at the beginning of the evening, not the last minute.

drink of the night um it would have been a more positive choice to have not uttered the phrase make it a double although i've got to say it felt really cool and then later it felt very vomitous but long story even longer what i think a positive choice is what i love is it's not saying good choices okay and let me explain and clarify because you brought it up perfectly when you said sometimes there are no good choices and there's also a moralistic view on good choices and sometimes in my life my best doesn't look as i call bestie right what i've got in me isn't even going to look to somebody else like a good choice but it is a better choice hence a positive choice and that's what i love about the concept of positivity it's not moralistic in that it's called saying good or bad.

It's not you're not not being positive if you're acknowledging, like, for instance, right now, my back hurts.

What it means is that you have an opportunity to make a choice that is more in a line with where it is you want to be and what you want to do.

And so when I think of positive choices, it's not good choices or bad choices.

I think when you talk about, especially taking the moral, like the moralistic perspective out of it, it's just a choice.
