Is Buckcherry nu-metal? No. Are they even nu-metal-adjacent? Not really. Lead singer Josh Todd was really close to being in Velvet Revolver and that's a lot of what this album feels like: slightly…
Uh, this, uh, so yeah, as I said off the top of the show, we are covering Buckcherry's XV.
Uh, it came out on October 17th, 2005, and it was recorded in 2005 because the album was called XV because that's how long it took them to record it, 15 days.
This is a, this is a weird one too, because, uh, it's a strange one because the story of it is a little bit odd.
And so the reason for that is because Buckcherry broke up after their album, uh, in 2002.
"From August 2001 through January 2002, as tension over the musical direction set in, Jonathan Brightman, Yogi Lonich, and Devin Glenn each successively left Buckcherry and were replaced.
Josh Todd and Keith Nelson still planned to continue the band and began the writing process for a third album.
The album was never completed, and the band went on hiatus in July 2002," because there was heavy speculation that Josh Todd was in the running to become the lead vocalist's, the lead vocalist for Velvet Revolver.
