It's nothing horrible, but just educational, informative.

And I have a super shitty fund.

This is actually...

A fan favorite for segments that I do, the two that get the most love are Super Shitty Fund and Church Money.

Which, by the way, if you happen to be in a church because you go there or because you have to go there or you go to a wedding or you go to a funeral or some other service or you have to go there to vote, which really I find upsetting.

But if you find a table where they have some papers out, if they have a budget...

And what I have learned from actual genuine budgets is that the vast majority of churches give very, very, very little money.

to people in need there is the occasional food bank that that they might do and there is sometimes where they send people to foreign countries to educate but that's really to indoctrinate to spread the gospel but the percentage even including those things is very very small i did have one time where someone heard about the show and was adamant that their church gave 10 percent of all of their revenue to help the people in need.

And they sent me a budget.

I can only assume that a legitimate budget, it looked like it where they actually achieved that goal where 10% of the church rep.

So that's the high watermark.

That's the absolute best I've ever seen.

Usually it's anywhere between zero and a couple of percent.

So when people talk about how Christians give more money than atheists, Depends on what you mean by give.

Give away? Sure.

To help people in need? I don't think so.

I don't think it's even fucking close because the vast majority of money that you give to a church, through a church, with a church, whatever, goes to paying the bills, goes to paying for the priest or the gold.

that they keep in their vault, or avoiding property taxes.

Your money doesn't go to avoiding property taxes.

They get to avoid property taxes, but the money spent on a boiler, a new roof, repaving the parking lot, mowing the lawn, it goes for the church or the church school.

It doesn't actually go to people in need.

So if you happen to see a budget for a church, send it to me.

But today it's a super shitty fund.

So we're going to talk about that.

And the big interview is about a brand new book, clearly written by boys.

And the authors are Karis Berkowski and David Fitzgerald.

We have a whole 25 minute plus interview discussion with them about the book.

And how the Bible treats women.

If you've not sat down and patiently and carefully read the Bible, you will not believe some of the shit that's in it.

I, to this day, honestly, I'm stunned that anyone would call themselves a Christian.

But I'm beyond stunned that women... identify as Christians, I can only assume, please let it be the case that they've not read the book.

Because if they've read the book and they're still down with it, I don't know.

I can't wrap my head around that.

Why any women follow Christianity is beyond me.

And thankfully, recent data, I'll have to do a whole segment on this at some point.

Recent data shows that the percentage of women leaving religion is higher than it's ever been And in the past, 20, 30 years ago, when I would go to secular organizations, it'd be like 90% men.

Well, it's gotten pretty close to 50-50.

But for some younger groups, it's more women than men, which is fantastic.

We got to get the men to get their heads out of their asses in some case.

So there's that.
