Why is the carnivore diet losing momentum, and what does the science actually say about eating nothing but meat? 🤔 In this interview, Plant Based News' Klaus sits down with Mic The Vegan following…
It is, which I'm happy to say as somebody who wants less animals to die, the Carnivore crash, which I accidentally discovered thinking, oh, maybe I'll just do a fun little... carnivore presentation.
And I just looked at the Google Trends chart thinking, did the carnivore diet ever get as big as a vegan diet? So I just compared the two.
Second of all, I discovered an insane crash down to basically where it started.
Who knows what could happen in the future? But it's good to see that the interest has just completely vanished, it appears, based off Google Trends at least.
We can see that from 2022, it was slowly growing, boom, boom, up and up and up till it peaked
Hold on, hold on.
Let's break that down.
Slow down, slow down, slow down.
So two points, two significant points.
You're saying that you looked at the Google trends for carnivore first vegan, which basically means how many people are searching for carnivore or vegan.
And you're saying Even though we maybe felt carnivore was a huge thing, the number of searches is actually a lot lower than vegan.
Probably
And then comparing that to a vegan diet, it's still dwarfed in terms of the amount of interest.
It's like carnivore diet, vegan diet, and the vegan diet people are acting like has just died into oblivion in terms of interest.
But it's still hanging in there quite well, especially at the U.S., chart that we have.
This is the US chart for searches on Google for vegan next to that carnivore diet.
A vegan diet still dwarfs a carnivore diet and is still doing better even on the trends than you might expect it to.
