My name is Payton Reeser, and I am a current summer associate with Foley & Lardner's Real Estate Practice Group out of the Tampa office.

I grew up at the back gate to Disney World in a town in the Orlando area called Windermere.

Got to see the fireworks outside my bedroom window every night, which is not an exaggeration, and absolutely loved growing up in Florida.

Did both of my undergraduate degrees in Business Administration and my master's at the University of Florida, and now I'm a rising 3L at the University of Miami School of Law.

Well, we're gonna unpack all of that, and now I'm like, do I even wanna talk about you being a summer associate, or should we just talk about growing up in the backyard of Disney World for the rest of the show? Like, we, we might.

Okay, so you already said where you grew up, but just 'cause I didn't fully...

It's in Southwest Orlando, and a lot of people don't realize it because Orlando in most people's minds, just International Drive and all the different theme parks, but there's actually a huge boating culture over there because we're on a lot of different chains of lakes.

And so on the weekends growing up, we'd also be out on the boat if we weren't at the theme parks or just hanging out in the neighborhood.

See, you've thrown me off 'cause I'm, I wouldn't say I'm a full-on Disney adult, but I have s- I have appreciation there, and I will get back to the typical questions I ask.

[laughs] So did you have a season pass just all of childhood? Like, did you guys have to do that every y- year? How does that work?

We actually moved to Orlando because my dad had a job working in, with the finances with the resorts at Disney, and so we grew up going to the parks, the hotels.

You either h- have someone in your family or know of someone who works for one of the theme parks.

So a lot of us did have passes growing up and would either go to Disney or, once we got a little bit older, Universal.
