At first, we're going to mention Hashem Yishmael, Shemot taf resh ayin chet.
He quotes his father, the heilige Av Ha'Emet, with the following question.
Rashi quotes a midrash that Sukkot there were 98 lambs, 98 sacrifices in the Beis Hamikdash, and that was bekoach to nullify the 98 curses, the tzadik ches klalis that says in the Torah in Parshas Ki Savo.

But says the Av Ha'Emet, if a person is gonna be happy, which we all know, oz v'chesed ubemkomo, strength and happiness is with Hashem ushashchinah.
If a person's gonna be happy, he says the yetzer hara is not even gonna be able to enter to talk to you to do an avairah, because where there's happiness, he stands hundreds of miles away.
[smacks lips] Says the Av Ha'Emet, "What I'm saying to you is an open pasuk in the Torah.
In middle of the Torah, the Torah explains the reason why and how the yetzer hara entered, and how he made you do avairahs which caused all these punishments.
It all started from one seed, and that is the following pasuk" "Because you did not serve Hashem with happiness, from having everything." When a person is happy, he wakes up in the morning, and Baruch Hashem, he's healthy, he's breathing, he's walking.
You have to thank Hashem.
You have to dance.
And when you're gonna be happy, the yetzer hara is not gonna be able to enter your domain.
Klal Yisroel then took 98 lambs, 98 sacrifices which were done b'simcha.
Once you serve Hashem b'simcha, you nullify the 98 curses." Adds on the Shemesh Yisrael, an unbelievable dik in the pasuk.
Ask the Shem Ishmael, where does the yearly calendar come in here? What-- It's superfluous.
Why do you need the word Bashunu? He answers, "Because if you're going to be happy these seven days, when there are ninety-eight sacrifices done with happiness, and today's days our davening is just like the sacrifices, as it says, [speaking foreign language] If we're gonna daven, our davening is just like as if we were makriv karbanos.
