Uh, atrocious at times, not bad at times, just it really is coming down to the, the case of if your backup quarterback isn't good enough to play, and hopefully that's why they're playing Watson because it, it's just not good.
It's, uh, it's, it's pretty depressing to think that the team is right now posturing that he gives them the best chance to win because you nailed it.
If that's the case, sweet Jesus, this is worse than we even thought it was, Lane.
Pete, how about you, brother? What's, uh, what are your first impressions from a week one that I, you and I feel like we saw coming?

Uh, the idea that a coach was gonna suddenly magically make it so he could come off of one read and not drop his eyes, not sack himself multiple times, um, was a fantasy.

The, the question is why are we proceeding like this? And the only answer I can come up with is, based on what I, and based on what I saw in training camp, is Shutor Sanders, who the Browns do like despite what people think, they wanted him to win that job, and they need him to get to a point where they can put him on the field, and even if you, even if you think, uh, that, uh, nothing can be worse than Deshaun Watson, and we're almost there, uh, the bottom line is if you put Shutor Sanders out there and he's even just slightly less bad, doesn't actually get you anywhere.

So they need to take however long, hopefully not much longer, to get him to a point where they feel confident they can put him on the field.
