Meredith HambrockHost... uh, problem I think that, ugh, is just like so much of this job h- like happens inside of your head, [laughs] which is a weird thing to say, but I do just think that where you're at mentally can have such a huge impact on like the work that you do.
Um, maybe this, and this is probably true for like, uh, like everybody, but I don't know.
I just always, you know, maybe I've watched too much Grey's Anatomy, but I imagine doctors are just like, "No, we just have a switch.
We never have a bad day." [laughs] Um, no, but maybe my Grey's Anatomy thing means that I was like they were always so emotional and like messy.
Then they like really got super involved in their patients' lives, and like my sister works in the ER, um, so [laughs] like it's not that at all.
But no, I think, yeah, burnout is, and it's also hard to talk about, um, a little bit because we are so privileged to be in this career, and, um, you know, to, but I think we want to talk realistically about what it is to make a career as a writer, and so I think this is part of it, so that is my little spiel.
That is like super fair 'cause it's like s- I think both of us in some ways live the dream.
