We’re back… but things are a little different.

So I've still got NeoMagic going as well.

And NeoMagic is more for the kind of the professional hobbyist kind of magicians.

And you guys have been absolutely fantastic over the years of really supported me and taken me into conventions and booked me for lectures and all sorts of stuff.

And that magic has taken me all around the world, even to places like Washington, when I went to the first ever Maths and Magic Conference.

And that was fantastic.

Met so many amazing people.

And, you know, I was just shooting the breeze with Art Benjamin, who's known as the human calculator, if you haven't seen his TED Talk.

He's absolutely amazing.

He's got something like 25 million views.

And just like chilling with him and just chatting to him normally as we've been friends for ages, it's just like surreal.

And that's where NeoMagic's taken me through my book, Mind the Maths Magic, and the maths-related magic tricks that I kind of create.

But with Mindbroke Games, I wanted it to be more than just magic tricks.

I wanted to make it games and puzzles as well.

So I started this last year, 2015. uh launched a couple of uh tricks called mind waves and scribble snap did really well in fact did so well that i kind of sold out of them uh within a few months and missed it completely missed the christmas rush and this year 2026 i've launched two new kind of tricks and games and one of them's called uh mental match which is real real fun it's my kind of almost a cross between um a magic trick and a game because you've got um the first part of it is like kind of a where you've got these little tokens or tiles you throw them up and it makes a playing card it matches the back of the bag the second part i've got them i've taken this old domino kind of mathematical domino principle where you kind of add the dominoes together um side by side and then the last two dominoes the each end match your prediction and I've taken that and converted it into colors.

And with that, I've then created a kind of a game in there as well.

So I see you've got like 30 seconds to quickly assemble.

This is the longest line you can with the colors matching and they do it.

And then in the end, the two colors at either end of the row match the draw strings that have been in on the table that hold all the tiles together so it's a nice little kind of convergence between maths and magic into kind of gameplay so that's that's one of the first things I kind of did and I really enjoyed that so that's why I thought well we can talk a lot more about actually the rationale that goes behind some of these ideas and some of these tricks and hopefully that would be more helpful to you than rather than me just talking about a trick saying oh well this is a trick this is what I've created this is what it does this is what you can do with it you know, telling you the methodology behind it.

So you can create your own tricks, your own effects.

You can really, really kind of push the envelope of, of what we conceive as, you know, standard magic.

Um, so that's where I kind of went with that.
