I want to talk about two psychology behavioral psychology acronyms, Jade and Darvo, that I learned this week.
I will tell you what they mean and just the context in which these have applied to my life and how to just stay aware as a woman in New York, but as just a person and like navigating and trying to be healthy and have a good relationship with your ego, etc, etc.
OK, when this refers to this is an acronym that refers to when someone who is argumentative and manipulative, usually narcissistic, puts you in a position where you have to explain yourself.
And this this is a lot of the emotional labor that women have to do, given society's structure.
You know, we have a husband and wife situation and the wife comes home and the house is a mess.
She's like, hey, like, you know, you've been home from your golfing trip for a few hours.
Can you clean? And that guy might be like if he's toxic, he's a toxic guy in this situation.
He'd maybe rest for five minutes or whatever and then unpack his clubs, whatever he needs to do.
