Episode 18: Summer Catch-Up

All right.

So this is pretty much the middle of the golf season here in Michigan.

And so we figured we'd kind of check in on how the tournaments have gone, where our games are at, and kind of how we're doing on our goals that we set back in January.

And so, yeah, let's get into it.

Chris, what did you have going on this past weekend?

So I actually wasn't on the radar at the beginning of the season, although I don't know why.

Although I've never played in it, but I signed up for the Siren Memorial, which is a 54-hole stroke play tournament that they've been...

Pontiac Country Clubs have been hosting for, I want to say, about 59 to... around 59 years, I think, if that's the sign that I saw.

That's pretty incredible.

Yeah, we'll just say roughly 60 years.

It's a family-owned golf course.

I think they're on the fourth generation of ownership, and it's owned by the Siren family.

it's a really cool tournament.

A lot of really good players playing it.

Um, it is a bit of a tough weekend because it is the 4th of July weekend, uh, to commit all three days, but the, the actual tournament's great.

And, um, you know, it's always good to, to see how you do over, you know, it's not just a 18 holes.

It's not even 36, it's three full days.

And, um, I've always found that difficult to follow up a good round with another good round.

And then, I don't think I've ever actually followed up that second round with another good round.

So, um, and I didn't this time either.

So, uh, uh, so I shot 74 the first day I shot 73, uh, day two and then got, got through about four holes on day four.

And we had a, probably about an hour's worth of rain, uh, Uh, come down on us.

I w I couldn't have been more wet if I took my clothes and just jumped into a pool.

I was so wet.

And as we've talked about in the past, I don't wear rain gear.
