And last week I was flying to Vermont to spend some time with Josh, and I didn't make it.

In a like comedic turn of events, my flights kept getting delayed and sometimes you just have to laugh at the absurdities of life and how things develop and that death waits for no one, and certainly doesn't wait for a, um, delayed flight out of Chicago because of a loose wire on the emergency exit slide door that no one knew what it was supposed to be plugged into.

But I did end up going to Vermont, and I did end up seeing some of his family members and hearing about his last month.

And the last month, and the last several months, he was surrounded, surrounded by friends and family.

And there's something really beautiful about that, and he, and he passed on his family's farm or land.

The place where he got married, where his parents got married, where, where he invited me to spend the week shortly after my father passed, and his family showed me lots and lots of love and generosity and grace and welcomed me into their family, me and Roger.
