awesome we'll love to hear it uh so why don't we jump right into preparing for a ccq right uh some people may not have ever had the chance to attend a ccq and they are going to become a lot more popular with the next season so what is how is it different uh preparing for a ccq than like a local set change right kind of run me through your tips and pointers for that

So for me, set champs, we have a couple local stores in our area, so I kind of go to them and I frequent them and I know who's going to be there most likely, who's going to be the strangers, the one-offs, or the people that only show up for set champs.

You get a little more information if you so choose to do so by supporting your store, which you should.

For example, if I go to board in the game, I know it's going to be a very heavily aggressive side of the board there.

There's going to be a lot more aggressive decks, so I know there's some deck card choices that I think are going to be very inappropriate to survive the initial slog.

So I need to make some choices to, you know, if I get paired into aggro 1, 2, and 3 rounds, I need to... have the mulligan to get out of that.

However, with the CCQ, I choose to make deck choices or card choices or inclusions or 2-ofs or 4-ofs based off of the meta as a whole.

I'd rather have a little more tools that I probably wouldn't have, like I'm considering putting in put that thing back where it came from, or so help me, a couple copies of that in the deck I'm taking to Brainwash, because it wouldn't help me at certain game stores, but if I think if I run into certain decks, like a mirror match in blue-green, that's going to help me get over the edge, and it's inkable.
Yeah, very interesting.
No, I agree.
I think what Josh is saying is I think that the meta is very important in both cases here in its own right.
And this will be personally my first CCQ level, though I've done a DLC level event.
So I'm personally kind of equating it to something more like that.
In a similar way, I probably am... not going to play something um at this type of event that i i maybe would more at a local event that i've never played as much i'm going to take something that i probably have more reps with something i feel a little more comfortable with um just because quote-unquote more on the line, you know, further travel, further, you know, X, Y, or Z, you know, whatever you may call it.
