We here at Orchard Health got invited out to the Feeding America Human Resources and Finance Conference that was held every year.
And so we got the opportunity to serve on a panel and speak about how our direct primary care practice has worked with Second Harvest of South Georgia.
And they're really trying to work on innovative health care options, whether that's to try to increase access, decrease absenteeism, or even provide any kind of health care benefits.
They shared some stats that a fair number of Second Harvest and different food banks have.
uh in the nation don't offer benefits any kind of health benefits because they can't afford to so um this allowed them to kind of hear ways to think outside the box well are those usually non-profit not-for-profit or i think it's a mixture okay of that but they all really kind of serve that same you know mentality and it was great to be around those people because they all want to do well for folks and and i think that's what brings me joy about that employer partnership is that we're helping people who help others.
And so there were a lot of good information about what we've done for them, decreasing their Monday call-outs, increasing their health awareness, their employees to go seek other forms of health care, dental care, vision care, And so we got to speak about that and got a lot of good questions and people even looking up DPC practices local to their food banks while we were talking.
Well, y'all had good feedback about that y'all were some of the best presentation or something during the conference.
Yeah, we went down there yesterday and did their flu shot clinic for their employees and found out that there were a lot of great reviews.
Well, I think at a lot of those conferences, they'll provide information to people.
