No theory. No hindsight bias dressed up as advice. Two people who've actually done it, restarted it, and watched hundreds of others go through it, talking through what they'd genuinely do differently…
Well, it's anyway on the weekend and I'm sure you've been asked this before, but I was asked what I'd do if I graduated tomorrow.
What would I do differently? which I actually thought was a really great
question
because I've never actually thought about it.
Hindsight obviously makes it pretty easy to think of what you would do.
But in the moment, I don't really know what the advice is and I don't know if there is any advice out there.
So I suppose this is just our perspectives, maybe sharing a little of what we've been through.
Then if we had our time over, what we'd do again, probably more so what's I think what the question is, is like what skills would you acquire first is what's getting asked in this situation.
And honestly, like this is if would you travel overseas, like anything, you can literally do anything.
So how about we start, let's just say like the first two years, what does your journey look like? And then we can talk about ups and downs.
And then we can talk about maybe what we could do as a plan.
Yeah, cool.
And like you said, having already done it and then I've had to restart multiple times just due to choices of movement and opening practices and stuff like that.
So I've had to go through it, but obviously with acquired skills.
So going back to the time of non-acquisition is definitely a hard concept, but I think it all starts, I think it starts before the two years.
What would I do at uni? Because I think people don't practice like they intend to play.
A lot of people go through, let's say the uni clinic and they don't start trying to treat it like real practice.
They do things they don't intend to do later.
They just sort of soft care plans because they're just doing whatever.
They don't actually use it for what it should be, which is a proper internship.
If you can't, and I've said this before, but if you can't Hit your numbers early.
I don't mean late.
You're due to have them done by November.
If you can get them done September, October, that's a great sign.
Any sooner, even better.
