welcome to the kickback with carrie podcast i'm your host carrie henderson and y'all today i want us to have a family meeting i want us to talk about our expectation when it comes to black owned businesses because over the last couple weeks i have seen some complaints about the pricing for black owned businesses online now granted these complaints very much could have been from bots because as you guys know there are more bots online than there are humans And they are created and used to create discourse within the community.

But I thought it was a good time for us just to manage our expectations, especially because at the time of this episode, it is the fall season.

And before you know it, it's going to be the holiday season.

And a lot of us will be shopping small.

We will be shopping local.

We'll be shopping black on businesses.

So I want us to remember and manage our expectations accordingly when it comes to the cost of products.

and services by black owned businesses.

Because we do a lot of talking about shop black, shop small.

We got to support our own.

And then when it's time to do that and actually pay for something, some of our cousins, I know it's not you because we understand all that goes into building a small business.

And we understand that the cost to build something as a small business owner is going to cost you more than it would at big box stores.

But some of our cousins don't realize that.

And the first thing they do is complain about price.
