If you're paying attention at all, then you know that our second Build IRL took place last Thursday night and, you know, there's so much to say about what happened on Thursday, and it's similar to what happened at the first IRL, which was called In Her Badass Era.

Um, but now that we have the actual, um, brand name Build, we are transitioning the IRLs to Build.

But I'm basically, I don't wanna say I'm a one-man show because I have a really incredible team of people around me part-time, so people, you know, from Sylvia to Kate to Kelsey to Nick.

I have a team, but a lion's share of this event and the production and everything that goes into it for these past two events, I basically have manhandled it.

And just a little bit of conversation around, you know, the IRL and how the IRL has been such a, it's been a labor of love, but I think more than anything for me, it's I wanted to prove something.

So I wanted to prove to myself, you know, what's the, what's-- I didn't have anything necessarily on the horizon where I'm like, "This is really gonna scare me right now.

I'll be out of my depth." And so the IRL was this logical next thing that was like, okay, we can continue to build community here, bring people together, and really cultivate this, whatever this thing is, this collision of mental athleticism, badassery, and business strategy, and, you know, how the hell are you gonna pull that off? And so the second one, the, you know, it was so much fun.

It was s- it was a lot, a lot of effort and energy, and I just wanna say right now, if there's anyone that's listening to this that is in the event planning space, arena, my God, I gotta give you, like, I mean, just slow clap kudos to you because what a wild, unpredictable, fluid, crazy thing it is to plan an event.

Um, I mean, for, it's, it's, it's just, it's, there's so much to consider, um, when you're planning an event and it's, you know, to do it well and, and to put a bow on it and really have it be meaningful and valuable for people, um, my hat is just off to you because wow, it's just really, like, uh, I don't even know.

I, I've got a lot of lessons learned from these first two IRLs, and I will say, [lips smack] um, the first thing is, like, give myself grace, right? You have to give yourself grace, pat yourself on the back and say, "You did that, and you did that basically- single-handedly.

And so let's, you know, what would I say to someone else that just pulled off something like that twice in a row? I'd be like, "Okay, you're-- that's a pretty badass thing you just did." Since it's me, I have a tendency to analyze and overanalyze and try to figure out, you know, poke the holes and, you know, what went wrong.

Um, I really don't love that it f- kind of feels like I'm at my own, like, wedding or something.

You know, when you, when you get married or if there was, like, an event that, that you've had that was kind of, like, centered around you, you don't get a chance to s- to really talk to people and have a full conversation.

I'm, I'm dripping out emails that, you know, kind of come from my heart teeing things up and really wanting this to be a special experience for you.

And then I felt like I wasn't able to do that, which part of it is, you know, a- again, um, just the way that it works when it's a situation like that, plus you have the live show and you have a lot of things going on.

But make no mistake, we will have an IRL 3, and that will be in April more than likely.
