But one of the biggest takeaways has been how Ukraine has used drones in this operation.
They even used an armored fighting vehicle basically as a vehicle IED, similar to what you would have seen back in the days of the Islamic State if you were tracking geopolitics back then.
But instead it was controlled by a robot.
So, you know, no one had to die, which is much better in my opinion.
There's also been reports of them using drones, getting ground drones dropped behind enemy positions, sometimes up to 10 kilometers behind Russian lines.
This is something that has been discussed for a while as like the next stage of drone warfare.

The details around it are pretty unclear.
So Ukrainian sources are claiming that they used heavy drones to drop kamikaze ground drones into up to 10 kilometers behind russian lines while using air electronic warfare and air defense teams to disrupt russian reconnaissance and conceal directions of attack this isn't the first time that they've done innovations in terms of signal warfare but many nato officers are acknowledging that ukraine is definitely getting ahead of the game in terms of drone and signals warfare robots were also used to move ahead of the infantry and other unmanned ground vehicles cleared road and land mines that allowed advances sometimes clearing up to 30 kilometers over a few nights which normally would take an engineer company's weeks and you know they would have lost forces because during this they would have had to continue to fight against the russian forces So it appears that they're using experience gained from back in July when they used an army of ground robots to cross over the Dnipro River and storm a Russian position.
