For the last three years (and beyond), the dynamic has been predictable: anti-Israel groups organize a campaign, protest, event or effort, and pro-Israel Canadians stand up to challenge the hate. But…

Well, what started was somebody sent me the link and I got a lot of links to a lot of events that happened throughout the community, throughout the Muslim community and the anti-Israel community.

And this was a one day conference of building community together and the speakers they had and what they were looking at doing and they were outwardly saying what their overall plan is, you know, uh, that to me was what tipped me off.

Their agenda was to, how do we change the system from within to eventually run the system? almost the opposite of what we're told.

So I started looking into who was speaking at this, and my frustration came with, they're so organized, and we are so fractured.

And I've talked about this for two years now, how fractured we are, not just as a community, but as organizations.

And even from... grassroots organizations that have come up over the last couple years, and there's no overall plan.

When I look at how our community structures our plan, it looks like an old-fashioned org chart.

You've got one person at the top or one group at the top, it branches down, and the branches and the branches, it looks like a family tree.

When you look at how the anti-Israel or the Muslim community or the two combined work, they're bubbles.

How do we do this? How do we do that? And they work together in a movement where we are told to, again, it's top down and who's at the top to make those decisions where again, the other community all works together based on what every need is.
