9/11 at 25: Remembering September 11, 2001 and What America Learned

Send us Fan Mail Twenty-five years after September 11, 2001, how do we remember one of the most devastating days in modern American history—and what have we actually learned? In this special episode of **The Hint Hive: Amplifying Women’s Voices**, Kelly Hint—psychotherapist, feminist life coach, and the Queen Bee of the Hive—reflects on the **25th anniversary of 9/11**, exploring the human, psychological, social, and cultural impact of the September 11 terrorist attacks. Kelly looks beyond the headlines and numbers to talk about the **2,977 people who lost their lives**, the first responders and survivors who carried the consequences long after September 11, and the lasting effects of collective trauma, grief, fear, and resilience. The episode also examines how 9/11 changed American life—from national security and surveillance to the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq—and asks difficult questions about what happens when fear begins shaping our decisions, our politics, and our relationships with one another. As a feminist psychotherapist, Kelly also considers the experiences of women in the aftermath of 9/11, including women who served as first responders, caregivers, survivors, military personnel, healthcare workers, journalists, and family members—and the consequences of Islamophobia and discrimination that affected Muslim women and communities. Most importantly, this episode asks what **“Never Forget”** should really mean 25 years later. Can we remember without living in fear? Can we honor victims without embracing hatred? Can we acknowledge our history while still choosing a better future? And can resilience mean something more than simply “getting over” trauma? Kelly shares practical ways to approach the anniversary with intention, compassion, and self-care, along with a powerful **Affirmation of the Week**. This is an episode about **memory, grief, courage, resilience, humanity, and the responsibility we have to decide what comes next.** Because remembering isn't about staying trapped in the past. **We remember. We reflect. We rise.** 🎧 Listen, subscribe, and share this episode with someone who may need this reminder. **The Hint Hive: Amplifying Women’s Voices**—because your voice matters.
