The approach I'll be taking generally will be to look at some of my favorite bands in the heavy music world, and then spend time digging into their discographies.

I'll put them in the context of their origins, then work through their discographies at varying levels of detail, and put them in their contemporary context.

Usually, I'll focus on their full lengths and larger works, but sometimes, where relevant, I'll dig into demos, splits, EPs, et cetera.

I'll offer as much detail as I can gather on how they've become who they are, where they came from, what their trajectory's been like, and hopefully what we can expect from them in the future.

I'll give you my feelings about the bands in question and their works, and then we'll wrap up with some favorite songs from each album, a review meta-analysis, where I take a bunch of reviews from across a range of sites, average them out, and then work out if that's fair or harsh, and wrap up with my own score.

And then at the very end of each band series, I'll rank their works according to my preference from least to most favorite.

The bulk of what I listen to is black metal, but I might touch on some death metal, thrash, and possibly even metal-adjacent genres like dungeon synth and dark ambient.

From time to time, I'm gonna mix things up with an interview or a different series.

Sometimes I might get historical, sometimes it'll be a new artist or someone that I'm just generally a big fan of.
