In this episode, we break down how we think about reporting on AI visibility, why we built Traqer around topic-level tracking instead of individual prompts, and what we actually do with the data once…
Yeah, I think there's two high level challenges when it comes to tracking visibility.
One is A lot of the early tools came out with their own metrics.
And so there's like visibility score, their share of voice.
There's all these high level metrics that kind of all the all the tools do.
But a lot of people don't know how like what those actually mean and then how to make them actionable.
So I think that's one big challenge.
So they come up with these metrics like, where does my brand rank? for this specific prompt or this specific topic.
And it's actually not, you can't bring the same way that you track from the SEO side over to the visibility side because it's completely different.
It can move, let's say from position one to position three, but largely if anyone's to search for that, they're gonna get kind of that same ranking position, Whereas on the visibility side, it's actually it doesn't work the same way.
Different brands can get recommended for that same prompt.
If you search for the same prompt in different locations, you can see different brands, different orders.
And so the idea of ranking position doesn't really hold when it comes to the visibility side.
But I think just to kick this off, There's a number of questions that we've been getting asked from clients and just other people.
And so I wanted to just kind of go through some of these common questions that we get on the visibility side, talk about them, how we've approached them differently in tracker versus some of the other tools, and then kind of explain just how we think about reporting on AI visibility to our clients.
And then also what do we do with that AI visibility data once we have it? Like what actions can we take to then go improve visibility? So let's just start off.
