So the first player to watch out for next year is someone we've probably watched out for this year and indeed last year, Ludwig Oberg.
Now you could argue that Oberg shouldn't be on this list of players to watch because he's already a major figure in world golf, and that includes two Ryder cups and he's still in his mid twenties.
But that's precisely why I've included him because I think we're potentially looking at one of the defining players of the next decade.
He came into professional golf with an enormous reputation and almost immediately found himself playing at the highest level.
When somebody is suddenly successful, there's a temptation to start thinking about what that success means.
You might be playing against your best mate who's also your biggest rival and always wants to beat you.
