Bonus After Dark: Penn and Teller Get Killed

Peter Sciretta, why did you choose this movie as your winning movie for the Summer Movie Wager last year?

Well, I think I said this in the results, but I, you know, previously I, I suggested a movie that I thought you guys would enjoy, and no one seemed to...

I mean, not no one.

A lot of you guys seemed to like-

I liked...

I enjoyed Go.

I liked Go

So I was like, you know what? F that.

I love Go.

I'm gonna, gonna choose something-

[laughs]

... that I enjoy but I know others probably won't.

[laughs]

So I chose Penn & Teller Get Killed.

This is a movie I discovered in the '90s as a fan of magic and a, as a fan of Penn & Teller.

Uh, they're a subversive magic duo, and, uh, this movie is, i- is strange.

First of all, it's directed by Arthur Penn.

Uh, it's his last film.

Wild.

Yeah.

Yeah.

He-

No relation.

No relation to Penn.

Yeah.
