In this episode of The Everyday Miner Podcast, the host sits down with Joseph Ma of Superheat to talk about the H1C — a 50-gallon water heater that swaps out the traditional heating element for a…
I mean, we originally had the idea of the H1, which is just slightly different cosmetically.
The H1 had a dot matrix screen that shows the current temperature, and then it just looks a little bit better.
But because our water heater is already pretty expensive, expensive compared to normal water heaters.
We kind of wanted our water heater to be at as low as the price as possible so that normal people who aren't interested in Bitcoin necessarily have some incentive to buy it, basically.
So we're looking at how to make it work with radiant floor heating, how to make it work with driveway heating.
They get a lot of snow and he had this idea of putting, he wanted to put out water heaters inside his builds and also, but he just specifically asked, can you guys do driveway heating with this? So that's something we want to explore as well.
And then, yeah, right now we're only doing Bitcoin mining, but as I said, we can use any silicon chip.
Yeah, that's very cool.
I think there's so much opportunity there.
I think, first off, talking about what type of hardware you can put in there.
If you make it almost modular, that it can support a lot of these.
I mean, there's different avenues to go, especially with different...
Do you want to go with Bitcoin? Do you want to go with a script ASIC or something of that sort in order to swap things out? I think that's very attractive...
Uh, pivoting back to like use case.
I love the fact of like, like the hot water heater is like the easy one, like a no brainer.
Right.
Um, and you had talked about like the driveway heating.
